Earlier, Chief Imam of Ansarudeen Society of Nigeria, Shaikh Muhammad Shafi’i, had led other Islamic Clerics in a special prayer for the repose of the soul of the deceased, describing death as inevitable to every living soul.
He charged Muslims to always prepare for death by aligning their worship with good deeds to earn Allah’s mercy both on earth and in the hereafter.
Speaking on her mother’s demise, Hajia Sani said she took solace in the fact that she is not alone to mourn the loss as all family members gathered from far and wide to bid the quintessential “iya-ibeji” farewell.
