Grand Mukadam of Ilorin Emirate, Kwara State, Sheik Sulaiman Abubakar Dan Borno has urged parents particularly mothers to pray fervently for their children and wards so as to be responsible and responsive citizens in life.
He also appealed to those in positions of responsibilities to guide against destroying the younger ones when they are in privileged positions.
The Islamic Scholar made these remarks in Ilorin at the fidau of late Hajia Maryam Olabisi Yusuf, mother of the Director, Digital Media, Voice of Nigeria , VON, Hajia Hadizah Hussainah Sanni.
Shiek Dan Borno urged Muslims to prepare for death at all times stressing that righteous deeds was the only preparations for death and called on for good deeds which according to him, was the reward on the day of judgement.
He described death as an ultimate end that will catch up on everyone no matter how highly placed you are hence the need to be closer to God at all times.
Makadam Dan Borno described late Hajia Mariam as a good mother that did not only do good to her children to her children but entire members of her family.
He added that the deceased dedicated herself to the service of humanity.
In his remarks, a former Grand Kadi Kwara State Sharia Court of Appeal, Retired Justice Saliu Mohammad urged the children of the deceased to join hands together for the progress of the family.
Leading the Fidau, the Chief Imam of Idiape area of Ilorin Emirate, Imam Salihu Ibn Bashar prayed God to grant the deceased Aljanat firdous and the family she left behind the fortitude to bear the loss.
Late Hajia Maryam Olabisi died on Sunday in Abuja at the age of 79 and buried in Ilorin at her GRA residence in line with Islamic injunctions.
