Minister of Justice, Mr. Lateef Fagbemi says President Bola Ahmed has demonstrated commitment to reforms that directly advance core objectives of Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce Industry, Mines Agriculture through his administration.
Mr Fagbemi who also the Attorney General of the Federation gave this indication while speaking at the Annual General Meeting and Conference of NACCIMA holding in Ilorin.
He noted that President Tinubu’s commitment is underscored by the presence of at least four NACCIMA members as Cabinet Ministers and submitted that NACCIMA is not an institution any government can afford to manipulate or trivialize.
According to him, the mandate of NACCIMA is to strives at the very heart of national development, driving economy, the commerce, industry, agriculture, and mining, the pillars upon which every thriving economy is built.
He maintained that without a strong and empowered NACCIMA, no serious ambition of a sustainable growth, job creation, or national prosperity can take place in any civilized Nation.
The Minister also acknowledged and celebrate the outstanding leadership and achievements of outgone National President of NACCIMA, Otunba Kelvin Dele Oye.
He stated that throughout Otunba Oye’s tenure, he has demonstrated visionary leadership on common education and unwavering commitment to the advancement of commerce, industry, mining, and agriculture in Nigeria.
Mr Fagbemi said under his stewardship, NACCIMA has not only consolidated its position as the founding voice of the private sector, but has also expanded its reach, influence, and relevance both nationally and internationally.
He congratulated newly elected President of NACCIMA, Engineer Jani Ibrahim as the founder of Blue Vote Group, Chairman of NACCIMA , Former First Deputy President of NACCIMA, Former President of Forum of Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mining, and Agriculture, NACCIMA.
The Minister is confident that Engineer Jani Ibrahim’s tenure would usher in strategic reforms, foster inclusive participation across Nigeria’s chambers of commerce, expand the growth of Social Investments Programme, startups, and deepen the association’s engagement with both domestic and international partners.
Mr Fagbemi expressed appreciation and admiration for the seamless and peaceful transition of leadership within NACCIMA and called on politicians to emulate this commendable spirit of sportsmanship.
