Hijrah Islamic Organization, National Headquarters, Ilorin Kwara State has paid a Courtesy Call on the Speaker, Kwara House of Assembly, Engineer Yakubu Danlad-Salihu in office.
The Organization chaired by a Professor Islamic, University, Professor Yusuf Lanre-Badmas, intimated the Speaker on the forthcoming Mass Rally in commemoration of the beginning of 1447AH Islamic Calendar Year and Launching of new Islamic Calendar.
Professor Badmas who traced the history of Hijrah, acknowledged participation of Engineer Danlad-Salihu’s in previous Hijrah celebration and urged him to be part of the this year’s celebration as usual.
He applauded the legislative achievements under the Speaker’s watch, particularly enactment of relevant laws towards upgrading living conditions of Kwarans.
Professor Lanre-Badmas also thanked the Speaker for his previous support to the Organization and prayed Allah to continue to guide and elevate him.
Responding, Speaker, Engineer Yakubu Danlad-Salihu lauded the Hijrah Organization for raising the consciousness of Muslims to enable them acquainted and explore Islamic Calendar in their daily engagements.
Engineer Danlad-Salihu charged the Islamic body not to relent in correcting the social ills in the society and pledged to attend this year’s Hijrah Celebration slated for Thursday 26th of June, 2025 at George Innih Stadium Complex, Ilorin, beginning at Nine O’clock in the Morning.
