Much-anticipated Bolakale Adisa Mogaji (Black Lee) U-13 Unity Cup officially kicked off on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the GDSS Karuma (Wembley Stadium), Akerebiata, Ilorin, with 25 grassroots football academies from across Kwara State participating in the maiden edition.
The Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bolakale Adisa Mogaji, performed the ceremonial kickoff, marking the official commencement of the youth football championship dedicated in his honor.
In his remarks, Mallam Mogaji expressed heartfelt appreciation to the chairman of the organizing committee, Alhaji Saka Bola Morrow, for deeming him worthy of such recognition through the tournament.
The opening ceremony attracted several dignitaries and sports stakeholders, including Alhaji Dele Abubakar Seleto (MON), Permanent Member of the Kwara State Sports Commission representing Kwara Central; Hon. Abdullahi Yunusa Lade, Permanent Member representing Kwara North; and Hon. Olaide Ahli, President of the Kwara Development Group and Sports Officer of the Kwara State Sports Commission, among others.
