Former Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, has revealed that he turned down an offer of appointment from President Bola Tinubu.
Mr. Fayose disclosed this today during Politics Today programme, aired on Channels Television.
He hinted that he preferred to focus on his personal life after years in public service.
The Former Governor, who is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, said despite his long-standing personal relationship with President Tinubu, he had no intention of joining or accepting any political role under the All Progressives Congress government.
He stressed that while he remained friends with Tinubu, their relationship did not translate into political alignment.
Mr Fayose declared PDP dead, predicted more Governor defections.
On the 2027 General elections, Mr. Fayose said only Labour Party’s Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, currently commands the kind of traction and national appeal needed to challenge the ruling APC.
The Politician maintained that while he continues to criticize where necessary, his political choices are guided by principle, not personal gain.
