NACCIMA National President Arrives In Guangzhou, China Ahead Of High-Level Business, Investment Forum

 National President of NACCIMA, Engr. Jani Ibrahim, mni, OON, has arrived in Guangzhou, the People’s Republic of China, ahead of the high-level NACCIMA Business and Investment Forum, scheduled to hold on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.

The National President’s flight touched down at the Baiyun International Airport on Monday, April 27, setting the stage for a significant private sector-led engagement that seeks to deepen the investment cooperation and bilateral relations between Nigeria and the People’s Republic of China.

Engr. Ibrahim was warmly received at the airport by a delegation that included a representative of the Consul-General of the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Guangzhou, Her Excellency Mairo Musa Abbas, underlining the crucial partnership and confidence that the upcoming event enjoys from the highest level of stakeholders.

Other dignitaries in the delegation that welcomed the National President are the Chairman of the Nigeria Commodity Exchange Board, Alhaji Dalhatu Abubakar; NACCIMA China Relations Executive, Arc. Zakirudeen Oladotun; Special Adviser to the National President, Mr. Sulaiman Adoga; among others.

The NACCIMA Business and Investment Forum will bring together hundreds of investors from Nigeria and China at the magnificent Crowne Plaza Window of Canton Hotel to explore opportunities for strategic partnership, technical and financial support, technology transfer in priority sectors such as mining, electric vehicles and new energy solutions, agricultural mechanization, agro-processing and food value chains, industrial park development and management, and so on.

Nigeria and China share a long and cordial history of trade relations, with bilateral trade volume between the two nations estimated at $20 billion in recent years.

The upcoming forum also enjoys partnership from key Chinese and Nigerian institutions such as the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, China Chamber of International Commerce Guangzhou, Window of Canton, Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, Nigerian Investment Promotion Council, Nigeria-China Strategic Partnerships, and others.

As part of his engagements in Guangzhou, the National President will lead NACCIMA delegates to the 139th session of the Canton Fair, regarded as one of the largest trade missions in the world drawing Investors, buyers and sellers from different countries.

NACCIMA under the leadership of Engr. Jani Ibrahim continues to strengthen its status as a crucial voice in national economic development and industrial growth.
