It was a massive turnout in Aran-Orin town in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State as the son of the soil and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, Akeweje Olayinka Fafoluyi, aka Solace officially declared his intention to contest for the Irepodun Constituency seat of Kwara state House of Assembly.
The Aran-Orin Town Hall was filled with women, youth, party executives, friends, well-wishers, and traditional drummers supporting the Akeweje of Aran-Orin.
In his opening address, the Chairman of the APC in Irepodun Local Government, Hon. Kawu Aliu Arojojoye, expressed his satisfaction.
According to him, Akeweje has come to bring solace to Irepodun Constituency.
The Chairman said APC is the party that delivered Kwara from the oppressors and it’s a good thing that fortunate people like Akeweje are coming forth to contest for power.
He said he is elated because Akeweje has come to Irepodun to bring solace and match the constituency forward.
He noted that, as the APC Chairman of Irepodun Local Government, he is not campaigning for anybody, but the fact is that Akeweje is qualified and worth following.
After his address, the Chairman declared the declaration ceremony open.
Also speaking, an elder of the APC in Arandun, Chief Segun Oyewole, expressed that Akeweje is not solely associated with Aran-Orin, but also represents Arandun, as the entire town stands in support of him.
In his Speech, the House of Assembly Hopeful aspirant, Akeweje Michael Olayinka Fafoluyi noted that work has just begun.
He expressed happiness upon witnessing the crowd supporting him, stating that with their backing, victory is assured.
Confirming the Governor’s Aide as a true indigene of the land, Mr. Jolayemi Samuel, who is one of the elders in Asipa Compound in Aran-Orin, said with proof that the Akeweje is theirs, having worked closely with his dad.
Following the declaration, the Aspirant proceeded directly to the palace of His Royal Majesty, Oba Joseph Oyeweyipo Babalola, the Alaran of Aran-Orin, to seek royal blessings.
The Kabiesi prayed for success for him in all his endeavors, saying he would overcome all his enemies.
