All Progressives Congress APC Gambari Ward 1 gave this indication while addressing a Press Conference in Ilorin, the state capital.
Speaking on behalf of the Ward Chairmen in Kwara Central, Chairman Gambari Ward 1 and Chairman of all 193 Wards APC Chairmen on behalf of 51 Wards Chairmen, Mallam Baba Gobir Abdullahi noted that they were the ones who walked in the streets, visit households and mobilized the voters who ensured the victory of APC including Senator Saliu Mustapha in the 2023 general elections.
Mallam Abdullahi submitted that the political family Senator Mustapha defected is grossly incapable to win 2027 elections having flopped to in 2023 and described Senator Mustapha’s political posture as confusing.
The Forum of Ward APC Chairmen in Kwara Central questioned why Senator Mustapha did not decide to vie for Governorship to challenge APC candidate instead of seeking re-election for Senate if thinks he is the most popular.
The group unanimously passed vote of confidence on Governor Abdulrazaq for his exemplary leadership which has moved Kwara from era of consumption to era of investment, infrastructure and inclusion.
The Chairman acknowledged the consideration of Rt. Hon. Speaker, Engineer Yakubu Danlad-Salihu whose legislative leadership has complemented the Governor’s vision in moving the state to greater heights
Mallam Abdullahi therefore reaffirmed the group’s commitment to guaranteeing the victory of APC candidates in 2027 general elections and urged the people of Kwara State not to be distracted by the political tourism of some individuals whom it alleged prioritize their personal comfort over the masses survival.
