The 8th Kwara State Sports Festival (KWAFEST 8.0) enters another decisive phase as competitions intensify across various venues in Ilorin, with Ilorin West Local Government Area currently leading the medal table.
Ilorin West occupies the first position, followed by Asa LGA in second place and Ifelodun LGA in third. Ilorin East, Oyun and Offa complete the top six positions as the battle for overall supremacy continues among the 16 participating Local Government Areas.

The semi-final fixtures are:
– Ilorin East vs Ilorin South — 10:00 a.m.
– Edu vs Isin — 10:00 a.m.
Both matches will be played simultaneously at Pitch A and Pitch B of the Kwara Football Academy (KFA).
The semi-finals are expected to provide another major highlight of KWAFEST 8.0, with the participating teams seeking to secure their places in the championship match.
Meanwhile, activities in other sporting disciplines will continue across designated venues on Friday.
The day’s programme includes:
– Cricket: KFA Back of Administration — 9:00 a.m.
– Table Tennis: Atanda Musa Arena — 10:00 a.m.
– Squash: Squash Court — 11:00 a.m.
– Volleyball: Indoor Hall — 3:00 p.m.
