The State Project Coordinator, Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project, (RAAMP), Kwara State, Engr Dr. Isaac Kolo has congratulated the state Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, CON, on his historic turbaning as the first Turbanned Sardauna of Ilorin Emirate.
The RAAMP Project Coordinator, in a congratulatory message signed by the agency’s Development Communication Officer, Mr. Gbenga Ishola, on behalf of the Agency, described the traditional recognition as a well-deserved honour and a source of immense pride to Kwarans both at home and in the diaspora.
Engr. Kolo commended Governor AbdulRazaq for demonstrating exceptional courage, vision and commitment in his leadership of Kwara State, noting that his administration had upheld the enduring legacy of the late Sir Ahmadu Bello, the Sardauna of Sokoto.
According to the Project Coordinator, the governor’s leadership has reflected the values of good governance, peaceful coexistence, justice, equity and fairness, while promoting an enabling environment for development across the state. This is evident in his modest partnerships with developed agencies accross the globe to offer hope to the hopeless by opening numerous rural roads across the state for economic viability of the state and its people.
Engr. Kolo further praised the governor for fostering peaceful and harmonious relationships among the various ethnic groups in Kwara State, as well as his commitment to public education, cultural heritage, tradition, rural development through RAAMP and the overall development of the people of Kwara State.
The statement, on behalf of the State Project Monitoring Committee (SPMC) and the State Project Implementation Unit (SPIU) of Kwara RAAMP, also expressed appreciation to the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, for conferring the prestigious title on the governor.
Engr. Kolo said the Emir’s decision demonstrated his recognition of Governor AbdulRazaq’s contributions to the development, peace and unity of Kwara State and its people as he prayed for Allah’s continued guidance, wisdom, protection, good health and success for Governor AbdulRazaq in his new role as Sardauna of Ilorin Emirate.
The Kwara RAAMP State Project Coordinator, also prayed for a peaceful, prosperous and harmonious reign for the governor and the Emir of Ilorin, alongside continued peace, unity and progress in Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State at large.
