No fewer than 100 kidnap kingpins and 80 cult syndicates have so far been apprehended cooling their heads at Ilorin Correctional Facility

Kwara State Commissioner of Police, CP Victor Olaiya confirmed this in a chat with newsmen in Ilorin, the State Capital

According to him, kidnapping, cultism and culpable homicide are some of the crimes peculiar to the state

He said crime rate has drastically reduced in the state since he assumed office

He noted that officers and men of the State Police Command are leaving no stone unturned in wiping crimes and criminalities across the state

The Commissioner pointed out that Nigeria Police would soon commence deployment of Information Technology to aid surveillance and intelligence gathering towards curbing crimes

CP Olaiya therefore warned criminals to steer clear of the State as suspects nabbed found guilty would face the full wrath of the law

He cautioned the populace against spread of fake news to guard against misinformation, malinformation and disinformation in society
