Senator Mustapha mourns the death of Sheikh Abubakar Umar Erubu

Turaki of Ilorin Emirate, Senator Saliu Mustapha, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Sheikh Abubakar Umar Erubu, a respected Islamic scholar from the Ilorin Emirate.

Senator Mustapha fondly remembered his close relationship with Sheikh Erubu, noting that the late scholar was one of 30 individuals he sponsored for the 2023 Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca.

In a condolence message issued by his Media Aide, Nasif Sholagberu, Senator Mustapha acknowledged Sheikh Abubakar’s unwavering dedication to the propagation of Islam, not only within the Ilorin Emirate but also in Ibadan, where he resided for many years, and across the Southwest.

Senator Mustapha who is representing Kwara Central in the National Assembly extended his condolences to the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, and the bereaved family.

He prayed for their strength and comfort during this difficult time.

The Turaki of Ilorin also prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive Sheikh Abubakar’s shortcomings and grant him eternal peace.
