Over 300 students graduated at the 16th Convocation and Award of Certificates Ceremony of Bartholomew College of Health Technology, Shao, Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State
The students bagged National Diploma and Higher National Diploma cutting across 9 departments including Community Health, Pharmaceutical Technology, Public Health, Health Technician, Health Information Management, Medical Laboratory Technician, Health Education and Public Health Nursing and Health Assistants.
Speaking at the ceremony, Rector of the College, Dr Bartholomew Owoicho, charged the graduating students to uphold professional ethics in practice.
Owoicho, who is the founder, chronicled the achievements of the institution as some of the graduates of the institution are gainfully employed in both public and private sectors, cautioning them against acts that could portray the citadel of learning in bad light.
Also speaking, College Registrar, Mr J. D. Yousouph, counseled the students to be dutiful and upright when engaged by Health Facilities to propel them to greatness.
Yousouph tasked parents not to relent in instilling western and moral education in their children to prevent them from going astray.
The Ohoro of Shao, Dr Job Obalowu Atolagbe, urged students to shun cultism, obey rules and regulations to excel in their academic pursuits.
The monarch encouraged parents and guardians to bequeath sound education on their children and wards to insulate them against negative influences.
The event featured cultural dance, presentation of certificates to the graduands and souvenirs to the students who represented various departments in sporting competitions.
