The most recent publications by the Debt Management Office have shown that the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) Chairman/Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s prudent management of resources has significantly reduced the state’s debt again
This is contained in a statement by Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on, New Media, Olayinka Fafoluyi
The statement said Kwara State Domestic Debt now stands at N59,048,545,486.10 as of June 30, 2024, after dropping by 45.89% as of the first quarter of 2024, down from the figure in December 2023, according to the first quarter report of the Debt Management Office (DMO).
It pointed out that the report from DMO in December 2023 put the debt stock of Kwara State at N109,162,798,865.21.
Meanwhile, there are several ongoing infrastructure projects across the State under Governor Abdulrazaq-led administration, highlighting his commitment to making the State debt-free while taking it on the path of unprecedented development through his frugal and compassionate leadership.
