Kwara State Government has announced the partial closure of Ile Apa Road, spanning Tanke Junction to the General Tunde Idiagbon Bridge, starting Friday, November 22, 2024.
This temporary measure is necessary to facilitate asphalt works aimed at expediting the rehabilitation that is ongoing on the road.
Commissioner for Works and Transport, Engineer Abdulquawiy Olododo, in a statement said the road will remain accessible to traffic
Engineer Olododo explained that the diversions will be introduced as the project progresses.
According to him, motorists and commuters should expect some congestion
He encouraged them to drive with caution, exercise patience, and cooperate with traffic management personnel deployed to maintain order and ensure smooth vehicular flow.

Engineer Olododo maintained that the project is pivotal for enhancing the road’s economic value and improving overall connectivity which is integral to the urban renewal agenda of his Excellency Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
