The Oloro of Oro Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba Joel Olaniyi Oyatoye Titiloye Olufayo II, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Alaafin of Oyo-elect, Prince Abimbola Akeem Owoade, and the entire people of Oyo Kingdom on the prince’s ascension to the revered throne of his forefathers.
In a personally signed statement released over the weekend, Oba Olaniyi Oyatoye Titiloye Olufayo II expressed profound satisfaction with the selection and approval of Prince Owoade as the new Alaafin, describing the development as a divinely orchestrated event that marks the dawn of a new era in Yoruba traditional leadership.
While commending Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde and the kingmakers for conducting a seamless and transparent selection process, Oba Olaniyi Oyatoye Titiloye Olufayo II noted that the new Alaafin, being a well-traveled and highly connected individual, possesses the requisite wisdom, vision, and determination to uphold and strengthen the historic legacy of the Alaafin stool.
