Memorizer of complete Holy Qur’an, Uthman Uthman Ayinde from Kwara State who won second position in the 2023 National Qur’an Recitation Competition held in Damanturu, Yobe State has departed Abuja to Algeria to participate in this year’s International Qur’an Memorization Competition.
This is enshrined in a statement by the Chairman of Kwara State Committee on Qur’an Memorization Competition and Danmadami of Ilorin, Alhaji Shehu Abdul-Gafar in Ilorin
The statement stated that while in Algeria, Uthman Uthman Ayinde would join his counterparts from various Nations of the world to compete in one of the highest categories of the International Competition featuring memorization of complete Holy Qur’an with Tajwid
According to the statement, his selection is at the instance of the Usmanu Dan Fodiyo University Sokoto, the authorised Organizers of National Qur’an Memorization Competition in Nigeria.
The statement recalled that Algerian Government started the International Competition over 21 years ago to encourage muslim youths to memorize the Holy Book for future prosperity of the whole world.
It noted that Uthman Uthman Ayinde had in the past won several prizes for Kwara State in the National Competitions held across Nigeria in the lower categories before winning the last one in Yobe State in 2023 to represent Nigeria in Algeria.
