National Open University of Nigeria, NOUN student, Comrade Anafi Alabi Mufutaudeen has been inaugurated as Chairman, National Association of University Students NAUS, Kwara State Chapter.
The 4th inauguration of the Executive Members took place in Ilorin.
Members of the Executive are Comrade Shazili Olaide Jimoh, University of Ilorin, Vice Chairman, Comrade Taiwo Omolola Precious, National Open University of Nigeria, General Secretary.
Others are Comrade Omotosho Morufat Boluwatife, National Open University of Nigeria, Treasurer and Comrade Bamgboye Abdulmuiz omotolani, University of Ilorin, Financial Secretary.
In his lecture, Ilorin based Journalist, Mallam Mustapha Abubakar challenged students on innovation and creativity to be relevant in the contemporary society.
Mallam Abubakar charged students to imbibe sterling leadership qualities and disregard ignoble actions to could negatively affect their precious future.
He urged students to be politically cautious and focused on their studies to earn leadership positions in Nigeria.
Former Deputy National Secretary General, Hon Tijjani Adewoyin charged newly sworn-in Executive to always make consultation their watchword to achieve desired results.
Hon Olawoyin encouraged them to extend their network to other Universities for effective service delivery.
In his acceptance speech, newly sworn-in State Chairman NAUS, Comrade Anafi Alabi Mufutaudeen said his inauguration marks the beginning of a new chapter of Association ‘s history to engender progress and unity among students.
Comrade Mufutaudeen vowed to work to improve student welfare, enhance academic support services, and promote extracurricular activities that foster personal growth and development.
He pledged good working relationship with Executive Members to form a formidable team dedicated to serving the students and advancing the Association.
Highlights of the inauguration Ceremony were administration of oath office and presentation of certificates to the new Executive Members.
