Turaki of Ilorin Emirate and lawmaker representing Kwara Central in the National Assembly, Senator Saliu Mustapha, has called for collective support and cooperation for Alhaji Yakubu Garba Gobir, the newly turbaned Sarkin Gobir of Ilorin Emirate.
In a congratulatory message, Senator Mustapha felicitated Alhaji Gobir on his turbaning
He commended Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, for selecting a distinguished and capable personality for the revered traditional title.
The Senator described the new Sarkin Gobir as a man of integrity, whose leadership and commitment to community service make him well-suited to uphold the legacies of his forebears.
Senator Mustapha urged members of the Gobir Dynasty and the entire Ilorin Emirate to rally around the new Sarkin Gobir in preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of the Gobir people.
He prayed for Alhaji Yakubu Layi Gobir to have a long, prosperous, and impactful reign.
