North Central Basketball Forum has presented posthumous Mentorship Award to Late Coach Steve Onishola for his efforts in the development Basketball in the Zone.
Presenting the award to the son of the recipient, Executive Chairman Kwara Sports Commission, Coach Bolakale Adisa Mogaji x-rayed outstanding contributions of late Onishola for his passion to basketball.
Coach Mogaji described the late Basketballer as a rallying point who raised youngers in Basketball sport and a man of positive disposition who lived a life worthy of emulation.
The Executive Chairman, also presented award to Baba Jibril as Best Basketball Coach 2024 boys category
Responding on behalf of awardees, Mr Tunde Onishola appreciated North Central Basketball Forum for considering his father and other recipients worthy of the awards.
Mr Onishola also thanked Executive Chairman, Kwara State Sports Commission, Coach Bolakale Adisa Mogaji for standing firm behind the family after the demise of their later father, Late Coach Steve Onishola
Mr Tunde Onishola therefore donated fifty thousand Naira to Kwara State Basketball Association on behalf of Docas and Steve Foundation and received by the Secretary, Kwara State Basketball Association, Mr. Azeez Kehinde Bello.
