RAMADAN: Muslims On Long Journey Charged Not To FastĀ

Muslim Ummah embarking on a long journey have been charged not to fast during the only month Ramadan.
A Don, Doctor Husain Musa-Arikewusola gave the charge today while delivering a Jummua’ah Khutubah at Mandate 3 Estate Central Mosque, Ilorin.
Doctor Musa-Arikewusola who is of the Department of Arabic and Transnational Studies, University of Ilorin cautioned Muslim travelers against conspicuous consumption food in the presence of fasting Muslims.
He emphasized the need for the Muslim travelers to repay the fasts missed after arrival as contained in the prophetic tradition.
Doctor Musa-Arikewusola who is also the National Missioner, Shaikh Alimi For Peace and Development, encouraged Muslims to inculcate regular recitation of Qur’an, observation of tarawih and other acts of ibadah during this Ramadan to earn Allah’s mercy on earth and hereafter.
