Medical Laboratory Council Inducts Qualified Lab Technicians At Bartholomew Health Tech, Shao

Twenty-four students of Medical Laboratory Technicians of Bartholomew College of Health Technology, Shao have been inducted by Medical Laboratory Council of Nigeria.
Inducting the students at the 2nd Oath Taking and Induction Ceremony for newly Qualified Medical Laboratory Technicians of the institution in Shao, Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State, Registrar of Council, Professor Tosan Erhabor counseled the inductees to desist from fabrication of Laboratory results and unethical practices that could tarnish the image of the Profession.
Represented by the Director, Department of Technicians Regulations and Discipline of the Council, Mrs Funmilayo Onakalu, the Registrar said the induction ceremony is to officially introduce them to the profession through insuance of licenses.
In his address of welcome, Proprietor of the College, Dr Bartholomew Owoicho urged the inductees to embrace endless opportunities towards contributing positively to the society.
Dr Owoicho appreciated the team representing Registrar, Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria under the leadership of Professor Tosan Erhabor for given approval the College to run Medical Laboratory Technician course.
He assured that the college would start admitting candidates for National Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology course after approval by NBTE accreditation exercise.
Dr Owoicho thanked Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for making the state conducive for the institution appreciated late Wole Oke, Ohoro of Shao, Job Obalowu Atolagbe and his council members for allowing the institution to be established in their domain.
Also Speaking, Head of Department, Medical Laboratory Technician of the institution, Mr Yekini Bukoye charged them to implement the guidelines and regulations in their professional practice.
Mr. Bukoye explained that the Oath Taking and Induction Ceremony marks the beginning of their professional voyage.
He rejoiced with parents and guardians for their labour, contributions, expenses, tolerance, perseverance to see them through their academic pursuit.
The Ohoro of Shao, Oba Job Obalowu Atolagbe advised the Inductees to be meticulous in the discharge of their duties.
Oba Atolagbe encouraged the students to abide by the ethnics of their profession and avoid actions that could smear the image of their professional calling.
Highlights of the induction ceremony were oath taking, presentation of certificates, goodwill messages by representatives of Commissioners for Education and Health in the State.
