Senior Special Assistant to Kwara State Governor on New Media, Fafoluyi Olayinka Michael has been named Overall Best Graduating Student in Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) Print Journalism at the 7th Convocation of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ), held in Ogba, Lagos.
The announcement was made during the ceremony, where Fafoluyi received a commemorative plaque presented by former Ogun State Governor, Chief Olusegun Osoba, in recognition of his exceptional academic performance.
A passionate journalist known by the moniker ‘Solace’, Fafoluyi previously runs a news platform dedicated to reporting local and global human-interest stories.
His commitment to the media landscape has earned him a reputation for bold, people-centred storytelling.
In a separate academic milestone, Fafoluyi recently earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Ilorin.
The University Senate approved the award following a recommendation from the Board of Postgraduate School on April 3, 2025.
