Team Kwara today departed Ilorin for National Sports Festival holding in Abeokuta, the Ogun State Capital
The contingent numbering Three Hundred and two comprises of athletes and official led by the Director of Sports, Mallam Ibrahim Bako.
Team Kwara is expected to feature in Twenty-Five out of Thirty Five Sporting activities including Tennis, Squash, Weight Lifting, Wrestling, Volleyball and Football among others.
Earlier, Executive Chairman, Kwara State Sports Commission, Coach Bolakale Adisa Mogaji charged the athletes to make Kwara State proud by winning medals.
Coach Mogaji said Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is supporting Team Kwara financially, morally and spiritually.
He reaffirmed the Governor Abdulrazaq’s commitment towards their welfare before, during and after the Sports Festival.
Meanwhile, Kwara advance team has arrived Abeokuta safe and sound to receive the contingent for the National Sports Festival.
