NUJ President, Christopher Isiguzor approves Credential Committee for Kwara Council

The National President, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Chief Christopher Isiguzo, has approved the nomination and composition of Credential Committee of Kwara State Council of the union.

This is coming ahead of the triennial state delegates’ conference of the council.

The Presidential approval was contained in a letter signed on behalf of the National Secretary of NUJ, Comrade Jude Achike, by the Assistant National Secretary, Mr Akorede Opeyemi

Those approved in the Credential Committee are Badamosi Abdulhameed Alaiye, Chairman; Mosunmola Ayobami, Member; Olalekan Daniel Ajibola, Member; Ahmed Ajiboye Raheem, Member; and Jimoh Sulyman Gobir as Secretary.

It therefore urged the committee to be thorough and fair in the conduct of the exercise.

The letter containing presidential approval of the Credential Committee partly reads, “I’m directed to inform you that the five man committee nominated by Kwara Council’s Congress has been approved by the National President.

“While wishing the committee success on the onerous assignment, we expect a thorough and fair exercise”.

It would be recalled that membership of the Credential Committee was nominated at the Congress of the state council of NUJ held in May 22nd, 2024 and inaugurated by the state Chairman of NUJ, Abdullateef ‘Lanre Ahmed.

The committee was constituted in accordance with Article 6 subsection 1a and as well as Article 5A subsection 9d&e of the NUJ Constitution.

While inaugurating the committee, the council chairman urged each of the nominees to be fair, just and represent the collective interest of the union in the task ahead of them.
