KWASU Ilorin Emirate Staff Congratulates New AATU Pioneer VC Prof Ambali, Identifies Him As Distinguished Scholar With Extensive University Administrative Experience
Ilorin Emirate Staff in Kwara State University, under the leadership of Professor Ibrahim Laro Abubakar, has congratulated Professor AbdulRauf Ambali as the Pioneer Vice Chancellor of Abubakar AbdulRazaq Toyin University (AATU), Ganmo.
In a Congratulatory Message by its General Secretary, Abdullahi Bakare Ph.D the staff noted that a newly established University requires as its head a highly distinguished scholar with extensive experience in University administration.
It described the appointee as someone one who possesses a proven history of institutional transformation capacity like him to build up from the ground, a world-class institution as his impressive academic credentials speak for itself.
According to the statement, Professor AbdulRauf Ambali has just completed serving meritoriously as both the Immediate past Chairman of the Ilorin Emirate Staff community and Dean of Students Affairs, Kwara State University.
The staff recalled that Professor Ambali played pivotal roles in curriculum development, serving as the Head of Department for Politics and Governance and Director of the Academic Planning Unit.
The umbrella body of Ilorin staff pointed out that the new Vice Chancellor has a credible history in local and international scholarships, making him undeniably fit to manage the newly founded University and steward it into local and global prominence.
The staff submitted that identified Professor Ambali as a First-Class Graduate in Religious Jurisprudence and Politics, as well as a holder of M.Sc. and Ph.D, in Political Science with Distinctions having copious expertise in policy and governance and has received numerous awards for his research contributions and has secured research grants both locally and internationally.
The Ilorin Emirate Staff said Professor Ambali has also provided consultancy services to state and federal governments, offering expertise on national issues while his expertise and contributions have been recognized through appointments, fellowships, awards and recently, on the global scene, appointed as an expert by the National Security Council in Malaysia to validate indicators of the National Security Index.
The Emirate community in KWASU has no doubt that Prof. AbdulRauf Ambali having distinguished himself in academia and made significant contributions to policy, administration, and governance will deploy his vast experience to set initial vision, direction for academic foundation and administrative structures.
The Emirate sees this appointment not only as a round peg in a right hole but also a confirmation that his track record of success in leadership was noticed, recognised and rewarded by the founding fathers, with a larger scale responsibility to birth greater success.
