Team Kwara has continued their fantastic performance for more medals with determination in the ongoing 9th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State.
The trio of Olojoku Hadiyah, Abdullateef Aisha and Abdulsalam Fareedhat secured a gold medal in the Scrabble Female Team Event while Six-year-old Primary 2 pupil Abdulsalam Yusuf alongside Hassan Olojoku and Abdulhakeem Ali delivered silver in the Male Team Event respectively.
For Track and Field Deaf Athletics, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq settled for bronze in the Boy’s 200M event while in para Athletics Shot Put, Precious Olanrewaju secured a silver in the Girl’s F42-44 Shot put event.
Usman Abdulsalam showed grits, tenacity, passion and determination to claim gold in Boy’s singles, Aishat Abdulraheem showed her superiority in Squash to secure gold in Girl’s singles event, as Loveth Balogun settled for bronze in the same category.
In Judo, Ibrahim Ismail earned silver medal in – 45KG Boys category as Wuraola Ziyyadat couldn’t made it to the semi-final in Tennis after she succumbed in two straight set defeat against her opponents from Edo in Girl’s singles event.
Meanwhile, Wrestling commenced today as Badminton, Athletics, Judo, Squash, Chess, Scrabble, Boxing, Cycling, Tennis, Darts, continue as Team Kwara aims podium finish in the events listed respectively.
