BREAKING: Kwara Sports Commission Dissolves Sport Associations

Kwara State Sports Commission has officially dissolved sport associations in the state, with immediate effect.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Press Secretary of the Commission, Saheed Abdullahi in Ilorin.
According to the statement, the Commission Board in its sitting on 12th September, 2025 deliberated on the Associations and approved the dissolution of all sports Associations in the state, forthwith.
The statement noted that the dissolution became necessary with a view to inject new committed and passionate members, into the associations and retain former active ones, for an effective and efficient service delivery.
It therefore directed affected members to immediately handover documents, records and materials belonging to the Association to the Secretaries, as part of dissolution processes.
The Commission thanked all former members for their unwavering supports and contributions to their respective associations, with an appeal that they respond quickly to the calls of the commission, whenever necessary.
