Jumma’ah Khutubah: Leadership  Described As Sacred Trust From Allah

Leadership has been described as a sacred trust from Allah to be executed with integrity for the benefit of humanity.
Ilorin-based Islamic Cleric, Shaikh Murtadha Sultan Kamaldeen Al-Adabby dropped this hint today while delivering Jumma’ah Khutubah at Sultanate Central Mosque, Adewole, Ilorin.
Shaikh Murtadha Sultan Kamaldeen noted that leaders must possess a deep sense of piety and unwavering commitment to God, to guide their decisions and actions.
According to him, fundamental principle of Islamic leadership, requires leaders to uphold justice and ensure the rights of all individuals are respected.
Shaikh Murtadha Sultan Kamaldeen pointed out that effective leaders should consult their followers to seek input before making decisions to foster a participatory and consensual environment.
He identified knowledge, wisdom accountability and empathy as essential qualities of a good leader.
