NDE Empowers Women, Youths In Osun

National Directorate of Employment (NDE) Osun State office, has officially launched the second phase of the Renewed Hope  Empowerment Initiative (RHEI), with a strong emphasis on creating sustainable job opportunities and empowering Nigerians, particularly youths and women.
The event, which featured prayers, the national anthem, and the introduction of dignitaries, had in attendance the State Coordinator, Mr. Olarewaju Abiodun Oladele, who represented the Director General, Silas Ali Agara and his management staffs.
Delivering the keynote address on behalf of the DG, HE. Silas Ali Agara,  Mr. Oladele said the second phase of the programme was designed to transform rural communities through skill acquisition, entrepreneurship, and meaningful employment.
According to him, the second phase of the RHEI is meant to create sustainable job opportunities and to empower Nigerians, especially the youths and women through skill development, entrepreneurship support and access to meaningful employment.
Mr. Abiodun urged participants to give their full cooperation to ensure the programme’s objectives are realized,
He stressed that their commitment would contribute immensely in the accomplishment of management and administrative goals.
Delivering a goodwill message, the Head of Department, Mr. Adesanya A.A., admonished the trainees to remain dedicated to the programme.
The event also featured a counselling and cooperative formation session led by Mr. Abiodun Sunday.
The training schemes rolled out under the second phase include the Community-Based Training Scheme (CBTS), Organic Agricultural Training Scheme (OATS), Micro Livestock Production (MLP), Fishery, Sustainable Agricultural Development Training Scheme (SADTS), and Small Stock Goat Production (SSGP).
According to documentation released at the event, a total of 491 participants were allocated and approved for training, with 258 currently in training. The duration of the programmes ranges from one to three months.
