World Teachers Day: Gov. AbdulRazaq Declares Monday Work-Free

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has approved Monday, October 6, 2025 as a public holiday for Kwara teachers in honour of the World Teachers’ Day.
This is contained in a statement by , Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development in the state, Dr Lawal Olohungbebe in Ilorin.
Dr Olohungbebe paid glowing tribute to teachers’ resilience, sacrifice and devotion.
He described teachers as critical stakeholders in advancing human progress and national development.
The Commissioner also underscored their central role in nation building.
According to him, teachers embody patience, sacrifice, and resilience.
Dr Olohungbebe on behalf of Governor Abdulrazaq appreciated teachers in the state for nurturing minds for societal growth.
