Justice Ahmad Sayi gave the advice today at the 10th Annual Halqotul Qur’an Lecture themed “Effects of Economic Recession on Qur’an Memorization: Kwara as a case study” organized by Association of Students of Ma’adul Katibi Al-Adabby in collaboration with the management of Ma’adul Katibi Al-Adabby Institute for Qur’an Memorization and Arabic Science
The event was held at the School Premises, Qur’an Village, behind Kwara State House of Assembly,Ilorin
Justice Ahmad Sayi enjoined Qur’an tutors to always exercise patience as Allah has ways of compensating them on earth and hereafter
The jurist challenged parents and guardians to desist from underpaying tutors of Qur’an and over-concentrate on western education
He charged instructors of Qur’an not to be deterred with current economic quagmire in the country in coaching children in Qur’an recitation and memorization
In his remark, Proprietor, Ma’adul Katibi Al-Adabby Institute for Qur’an Memorization and Arabic Science, Doctor Saheed Katibi solicited financial intervention for Arabic Schools from government, corporate bodies and philanthropists to address emerging challenges
Doctor Katibi tasked parents to bequeath sound Islamic and western education on their children and wards to enable them become responsible citizens of the Country
The event was laced with serial Qur’an Recitation from Suratul An’ am, verse 143 featuring memorizers of the Arabic school and Special Guest Reciter, Chairman, Media Organization for Qur’an Recitation in Nigeria, Shaikh Gwani Habibu Muhammad Shugaba
