Kwara State University (KWASU) in Malete has officially begun the 2025/2026 academic session with the full activation of its Ilesha-Baruba campus.
Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shaykh-Luqman Alade Jimoh, announced that this development fulfils a long-standing vision of making all three KWASU campuses Malete, Osi, and Ilesha-Baruba fully operational.
Meanwhile, the University Management appointed Professor Taibat Moji Yusuf as the Dean of the Faculty and Head of the Ilesha-Baruba Campus.
The Vice-Chancellor expressed hope that the community will embrace both staff and students of the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, much like the Malete community did in 2009 and the Osi community in 2024.
He emphasized that the activation of the Ilesha-Baruba campus marks an important developmental process in the ongoing growth of Kwara State University.
He noted that this development strengthens KWASU’s commitment to expanding access to higher education, promoting research and innovation, and enhancing community engagement across its three campuses.
The initiative, he added, positions the university as a model for sustainable educational advancement in Nigeria.
