Veteran Journalists Mourn General Mohammed Adangba, Yusuf Feruke

The National League of Veteran Journalists ( NALVEJ) in Kwara State has mourned the demise of the former chief of Staff to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, General Mohammed Abdullahi Adangba.
The association equally mourned the passage of a veteran sports journalist, Malam Yusuf Feruke.
Both General Adangba and Malam Feruke died on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.
The league in a statement signed by its chairman, Alh Tunde Akanbi and the publicity secretary, Alh Abdullahi Olesin, described General Adangba’s death as a great loss to Ilorin Emirate, Kwara, Nigeria and humanity.
It noted the great contributions of the late General to the development of his immediate community, Ilorin, Kwara and Nigeria as a whole, describing him as a great patriot.
The league commiserated with the Kwara State government, the Emir of Ilorin, Alh Ibrahim Sulu- Gambari, the Alfa- Nla family of Adangba, and members of the deceased’s immediate family.
The league also noted Yusuf Feruke’s contributions to the media industry as a versatile sports writer during his life time.
It described Feruke as an easy going and humble personality who always carried out his reportorial work with discipline and dignity.
The league prayed to Allah to forgive General Adangba and Feruke and give their families the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
