Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has expressed confidence that the internal crises within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will be addressed ahead of the 2026 governorship election.
Mr Adeleke stated this in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, in Osogbo on Wednesday.
He said the disagreements at the national level remained internal matters that stakeholders were already working to resolve, adding that they would not affect his re-election bid scheduled for August 8, 2026.
The governor called on party members to maintain unity and remain committed to strengthening the party, noting that efforts towards restoring cohesion were ongoing.
He stressed that key figures within the PDP at the national level were engaging on the issues with the aim of securing progress and stability.
Mr Adeleke further directed PDP leaders across wards and local government areas in Osun State to intensify mobilisation efforts ahead of the polls.
He expressed optimism that the PDP would consolidate its support base and emerge stronger in the build-up to the election.
According to him, the party remains the dominant political force in the state and is preparing to ensure a successful outing in 2026.
