World Football Governing Body, FIFA, has released the nominees for the Men’s The Best Award 2025, recognising eleven footballers who delivered outstanding performances for club and country during the period under review.
The announcement was contained in a statement published on FIFA’s official website on Wednesday, outlining the criteria and review period for the annual award.
According to FIFA, the award celebrates players who demonstrated consistency, leadership and match-defining influence across major competitions in the 2024/2025 season.
In FIFA’s statement, French champions Paris Saint-Germain lead this year’s shortlist with four players while Barcelona follow with three nominees.
Also, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Liverpool each have one representative on the list.

FIFA said the final winner will be determined through a combined voting process involving national team coaches, team captains, journalists and fans.
