Akeweje Olayinka Fafoluyi, Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Governor, said the Kwara State Government under Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has sustained construction on the multi-storey Oluremi Tinubu Hospital, with contractors working steadily to meet approved standards.
In a statement personally signed by him, Akeweje Michael Fafoluyi-Solace confirmed that the facility, named after Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, is part of the administration’s drive to strengthen tertiary healthcare infrastructure in Kwara and complement federal efforts to enhance medical services nationwide.
Akeweje Fafoluyi-Solace recalled that during an inspection in August, Governor AbdulRazaq emphasized his administration’s commitment to public welfare through investments in health, education, agriculture, and the digital economy, while also expressing appreciation for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s support for sub-national development projects.
The SSA added that over the past six years, the administration has made significant investments in the health sector, including constructing, renovating, and upgrading hospitals, providing modern medical equipment, and installing solar power systems across healthcare facilities in the state.
Akeweje Fafoluyi-Solace said once completed, the Oluremi Tinubu Hospital is expected to expand access to advanced healthcare services, reduce pressure on existing hospitals, enhance emergency and critical-care response.
