This year’s Hijrah Celebration in the State envelops Mass Rally in commemoration of the beginning of 1446 AH Islamic Calendar Year and Launching of the New Calendar Year 1446 slated for Sunday 7th of next month
The event will take place at Kwara State Stadium Complex, Ilorin, beginning at 9 O’clock in the morning
A Statement by the Host and Chairman, Hijrah Islamic Organization, Professor Yusuf Lanre Badmas, said Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State would be the Special Guest of Honour, Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Engineer Yakubu Danlad-Salihu would chair the occasion while Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Zulu-Gambari would be the Royal Guest of Honour and Chief Host
Professor Badmas who is a Former Dean, Post Graduate School, University of Ilorin, elucidated that an International Business Tycoon and Philanthropist, Alhaji Ibrahim Tajudeen Eleku is the Chief Launcher, member representing Ilorin East-South Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Alhaji Yinka Aluko is the Co-Launcher while Commissioner for Education in Kwara State, Hajia Sa’adah Madibbo-Kawu is the Chairperson of the occasion
He therefore charged Islamic Organizations and Muslim Ummah to attend the event promptly
