President Bola Tinubu has felicitated with His Royal Highness, Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the Emir of Ilorin, on the 30th anniversary of his ascension to the throne.
In a congratulatory message issued by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Tinubu commended the Emir for his visionary leadership and steadfast commitment to the development of Ilorin.
The president praised Emir Sulu-Gambari’s courage, integrity, and sense of justice, which have defined his reign over the past three decades.
He noted that during the Emir’s time in the judiciary, particularly as Justice of the Court of Appeal, he demonstrated exceptional courage and dispensed justice with fairness and impartiality.
Tinubu also recalled his personal experience during Nigeria’s struggle for democracy, acknowledging the Emir’s boldness and integrity in upholding justice at a critical time.
He described the Emir as a man of honour and dignity, recognising his continued service to the nation as Chancellor of Bayero University, Kano, and his collaboration with successive Kwara State administrations to promote peace, stability, and progress in Ilorin.
The president wished Emir Sulu-Gambari continued good health and many more prosperous years on the throne.
