BREAKING: 38 Eruku Abductees Regain Freedom As Gov AbdulRazaq Applauds President Tinubu’s Direct Intervention

Thirty-eight persons abducted during the attack on the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Eruku, in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State have regained their freedom, the Kwara State Government announced on Sunday.
The development was contained in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, who said the rescue was achieved through President Bola Tinubu’s “hands-on and decisive intervention.”
According to the statement, President Tinubu cancelled his scheduled trip to the G20 meeting in South Africa to address the security breaches in Kwara and Kebbi States.
He also ordered heightened security deployments to Kwara, including the dispatch of four new police tactical teams.
The statement added that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq also commended the Office of the National Security Adviser, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigerian Army, the Nigeria Intelligence Agency (NIA), and the Nigeria Police Force for their roles in securing the release of the abductees.
Mr Ajakaye noted that the Governor further appreciated community leaders, religious institutions, and residents of the state for their support since the incident.
The abductees were freed on Sunday, November 23.
