An Ilorin-based Islamic Scholar, Doctor Abdulsalam Jimba has tasked Muslims to always be of help to orphans to earn highest position in paradise
Doctor Jimba gave this indication today at the Third State Final Qur’an Recitation Competition, organized by Kwara State Orphan Qur’an Recitation Council, a subsidiary of Ayatym Global Care Charity Foundation, held at Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin
He described prioritizing welfare of orphans as a modus operandi of cementing relationship with Allah capable of attracting his mercy
He maintained that any individual or household maltreating orphans would be severely punished by Allah
Doctor Jimba who is of the Department of Arabic, Kwara State University, Malete, said the biggest education in Islam is Qur’anic knowledge and called on participating orphans in the Qur’an competition not to feel the absence of their departed parents but invest their time on Islamic and western education to secure a better future
In his address of welcome, National Chairman, Orphans Qur’an Recitation Council, Engineer Abubakar Tukur stated that winners of different categories would be selected for National Qur’an Recitation Competition in Jigawa State and declared no victor no vanquished in the competition as everyone is a winner
Represented by National Vice Chairman of the Council and Head of Department of Arabic, Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin, Doctor Saheed Ahmad Al-Kabiti applauded the participants for their dodgedness before, during and after the competition
He urged well meaning individuals in the society to assist the foundation morally and financially to make the trip to Jigawa State easier and successful.
In his remarks, State Coordinator of the Council, Uztaz Kamaludeen Ajijolakewu encouraged affluent Muslims to emulate good gestures of equipping the orphans with sound Islamic and western education to earn Allah’s reward
Uztaz Ajijolakewu, a lecturer in the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Science, University of Ilorin and the Chief Imam of Yahya Kunle Sanni Memorial Central Mosque opposite Sanrab filling station Ilorin, pointed out that the Ayatym Global Care Charity Foundation is poised towards catering for the welfare of orphan to enable them useful to the society
Meanwhile, Twenty-two reciters who are orphans competed in four categories of Two Hizb with practical Tajweed, Ten Hizb with practical and theory Tajweed without Tangim, Twenty Hizb with practical and theory Tajweed and Forty Hizb with practical and theory Tajweed for both males and females
