Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, today doled out 1000 bags of 25kg rice to the Christian faithful in Kwara State to celebrate the Yuletide season.
Distributing the rice to beneficiaries, the Mother of the Nation, represented by the Director General, National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), Professor Abubakar Sulyman, said the gesture was aimed at cushioning hardship in society.
The wife of the President charged the beneficiaries to provide unflinching support for her husband in his onerous task of resetting the Nation.
She expressed the hope that the country would surmount the security challenges, including insurgency, kidnapping, and other problems bedeviling the nation.
The First Lady pledged the President’s resolve to meet the yearnings and aspirations of the people through purposeful leadership.
Oluremi Tinubu wished the Christians a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
Responding, some of the beneficiaries expressed profound gratitude to the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and Professor Abubakar Sulyman for extending the gesture to them and prayed for success in their future endeavors.
A highlight of the event was a symbolic distribution of 25kg of rice to the beneficiaries by the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, represented by Professor Abubakar Sulyman.
