At least 82 Quranic Memorizers and 326 reciters have been produced by Shaykh Dahiru Usman Bauchi at his Markaz branch in Ilorin to promote Islamic education in Kwara and South western parts of the country.
An Islamic Scholar,Shaykh Abdulganiy Abdulsalam stated this while speaking at the 40 days Fidau prayers organised in honour of late Shaykh Dahiru Usman Bauchi held at his Markaz branch in Ilorin,Kwara state.
He said the ideas of the establishment of the Quranic combined with western education school was conceived in 1994 to fill the vacuum that exists in education development.
Abdulsalam said with the support of the state government and traditional institution the school has blossom to produce great professionals.
He said most of the graduands at the Markaz were able to further their education in various institutions of higher learning within and outside the country.
The Cleric noted that many of the students are now professionals in the field of medicine,law , engineering among others.
He said the school has been able to achieve the purpose of it’s establishment in promoting mutual understanding, eradication of poverty and illiteracy among the populace.
Abdulsalam explained that late Shaykh Dahiru Usman Bauchi and Dr, Muhammed Haruna have lived an exemplary life that is worthy of emulation.
He described late Shaykh Dahiru Usman Bauchi as a detribalized Muslim leader who devoted his life to the worship of God and serving humanity.
In his lecture , Shaykh Tajudeen Arowolo -Sholagberu , advised Muslims to fear God and do good at all time .
He urged Muslims to use the knowledge acquired in the propagation of Islam in accordance with the teachings of Qur’an and hadith.
Earlier in his address the convener of late Shaykh Dahiru Usman Bauchi 40 days Fidau prayers,Professor Muhammed Mubarak urged Muslim to invest in the development of humanity through education.
He admonished Muslims to ensure justice and fairness in their dealings at all times.
The Forty day Fidau prayers in honour of late Shaykh Dahiru Usman Bauchi witnessed a poem presentation of the life and time of the deceased.
The Fidau prayers was attended distinguished personalities which included the Kwara state commissioner for Agriculture,Dr Hafiz Abolore ,a governorship candidate in Kwara state,Hon,Akeem Lawal,former special Adviser to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and , the Chief Imam of Hausa community in Ilorin,Imam Danjuma , traditional tittle holders from, Ilorin ,Patigi,Lafiagi,Tshonga , Tsaragi ,and Tijjaniya members within and outside Kwara state.
