Kwarapoly Mass Comm students premiere movie titled’Aiyeniromo’

Students of the Mass Communication Department, specializing in broadcast at the Kwara State Polytechnic have premiered a movie titled ‘Aiyeniromo’ at the institution’s Campus in Ilorin, the State Capital.

Speaking with Dailysource on the movie premiere, the Lecturer in charge of MAC 417 with a Course titled ‘Film Production Techniques’, Mallam Ibrahim Abass said that the scintillating movie directed by him is geared towards bridging the gap between theory and practice, having been taught theory in the class.

Mallam Abass pointed out that Movie Production processes deal with casts mastering their lines with commitment and dedication to perform optimally.

He identified the Department of Mass Communication at the Kwara State Polytechnic as one of the film-producing platforms in Nigeria, as the school is now recognized by the movie industry with competence in movie production.

According to him, Nollywood Star, Muka Ray Eyiwumi had picked one of the cast, Adunni for acting, while others who participated are on the verge of joining the industry soonest.

The Lecturer in charge lauded the continuity, casts, production crew, non production, non-technical, and technical crew for their wonderful performance on the project.

Also speaking, the Head of the Department, of Mass Communication of the institution, Mr Fatiu Olohungbebe hailed the management of Kwara State Polytechnic for their input towards making the movie premiere a reality, even as he urged the students to rekindle their efforts to excel in their academic pursuit.

In his submission, Mr Oladumoye Omotayo Emmanuel, popularly known as Fantastic, who played the lead role in the movie, Oba Adeyemi described the experience as an eye-opener.

In her reaction, Miss Aisha Yusuf posited that she played the role of Asake, daughter of Iyalode in the movie, who wanted to marry the Prince but proved futile, as the major hurdle she confronted was acting what was not scripted in Aiyeniromo that teaches good leadership qualities.

In his submission, Mr Adebola Akorede, who played the role of Aremo Adeoye expressed happiness for the role and thanked the Director and Lecturer in charge, Mallam Ibrahim Abass for allowing him and other students to showcase their talents.

The Costumier, Umar Nana Khadijah appreciated the work of her coursemates, saying that part of the challenges she faced was determining whether some costumes were appropriate or not.
