Delivering Khutubah after Eid prayer, an Ilorin-based Islamic Cleric, Imam Murtadoh Sultan-Kamaldeen reminded Muslims to be obedient to Allah as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim
Imam Sultan-Kamaldeen, appealed to Muslims to prepare for the day of reckoning with good deeds.
He urged Muslim Ummah, particularly affluents to be conscious of Allah in all their undertakings to earn his mercy on earth and hereafter
Imam Sultan-Kamaldeen who is also the Chief Imam of Sultanat Foundation, encouraged Muslims to divide their ram into three for consumption by family, guests, needy as enshrined in Islamic jurisprudence
Earlier, in his lecture, an Islamic Scholar, Uztaz Muhammad Jamiu-Agaka called on wealthy Muslims to always be of succour to the less privileged in the society, considering the current harsh economic situation of the country.
Uztaz Jamiu-Agaka lamented over unabated inflation in the country leading to low purchasing power of the people and implored authority concerned to be proactive in addressing the problems
Also, Alfa Abdulkadir Imam-Saiwo decried the level of corruption in the nation’s leadership structure and warned that any corrupt public official found culpable would be severely delt with by Allah in the day of judgement
Alfa Imam Saiwo also tasked Muslims to always contribute their wherewithal to the growth of Islam to receive Allah’s benevolence
In his submission, Legal Adviser of Sultanat Foundation and Principal Registrar, Kwara State Shariah Court of Appeal, Ilorin, Barrister Abdulmalik Imam-Fulani while moderating the Eid programme, said the significance of Eid-el-Kabir celebration connotes strict compliance to the will of Allah
Barrister Imam-Fulani advised parents to bequeath sound Islamic knowledge on their children and wards to insulate them against negative tendencies
