Senator representing Kwara-North at the National Assembly, Umar Sadiq has drew the attention of National Assembly to recent boat mishap in Kaiama Local Government Area of the State, neighbouring Niger State
Senator Sadiq intimated other lawmakers during plenary after raising a Point of Order to allow him to move a motion on the recent boat mishaps in Kwara State that claimed many lives.
He urged the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy to undertake an immediate survey of the River Niger stretch to put in place effective safety measures.
Senator Sadiq called on National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA to assist the affected communities with necessary aids
