MSSN@70 : Prof Abdulbaqi-Sallah, Dr Kolowole-Jimoh charge Muslims on unity

A Don, Doctor Yusuf Kolowole-Jimoh has charged Muslims to always contribute their quota to the growth of Muslim Students Society of Nigeria

Doctor Kolowole-Jimoh gave the charge at the Special Edition 70th Anniversary of MSSN with 3rd Annual Symposium in honour of Pioneer Grand Khadi in Kwara State and Board of Trustees of MSSN, Late Justice Abdulkadir Orire.

The event themed “70th Anniversary of MSSN, Challenges, Successes and Prospects: Baba Orire in Retrospection” was organized by Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, Kwara State Area Unit

He tasked MSSN members to use the celebration of the Anniversary to reflect the challenges of the nation towards proffering workable solutions

Doctor Kolowole-Jimoh, the Keynote Speaker, itemized corruption and moral degeneration as stumbling block impeding development of the Country and urged Muslims not to lose their identity by upholding righteousness

Also Speaking, Discussant and Former Head of Department of Mass Communication, University of Ilorin, Professor Saudah Abdulbaqi-Sallah who spoke on the topic “70th Anniversary of MSSN: Baba Orire in Retrospection highlighted numerous MSSN roles in  promoting unity and muslim rights

Professor Abdulbaqi-Sallah described Late Justice Abdulkadir Orire as a pillar of MSSN that championed education reform, moral integrity and mentorship among Muslim Ummah

National Amir of MSSN, National Headquarters, Abuja, Uztaz Shehu Usman Abubakar who dwelled on the topic “MSSN at 70: The Journey So far” challenged members to be acquainted with history, mission and vision of  MSSN to achieve the set goals

Uztaz Usman-Abubakar identified the 70th Anniversary as a year of accomplishment and reaffirmed his leadership commitment towards moving the society forward

The event was laced with goodwill messages by Former Grand Khadi of the State, Justice Idris Abdullahi Haroon, Professor of Islamic Studies, Al-Hikmah University, Professor Abdul-lateef Oladimeji and National Coordinator, Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi

  1. This is an iconic event, I strongly supports the theme of the lecture. If we unite together we are going to be stronger than ever before to forge ahead.
    The 21st century challenge is highly competitive. Let the elders support the incoming generation in order to have a greater future.
