Rotarians Against Malaria-Global: Zone 1 Coordinator /Ambassador for Rotarians Against Malaria-Global and clubs Ambassadors in Oyo State, is poised to launch a Comprehensive Malaria Prevention Mission.
The outreach slated to begin Tomorrow in Ibadan, Oyo State, is a continuous Programme towards eliminating Malaria for the benefits of the teeming populace
A Statement endorsed by Rotarians Against Malaria-Global, said Rotarians are expected to engage in Community Outreach and Education at District 9126.
The Statement indicated that Malaria Prevention Outreach, Club Ambassadors across Oyo state are to join PAG Ambassador, Khadijat Toyin Musah who is the District 9126 Ambassador to kick-start this critical initiative with the sole mission to eradicate malaria through collaborative efforts with key stakeholders.
It explained that Rotarians
would also engage in high-level discussions with officials from the Ministries of Health and Environment to explore strategies for effective malaria prevention and control to leverage the 3 Ts of Rotary: Talent, Time, and Treasure.
According to the statement, main objective of the outreach is to significantly reduce malaria cases and mortality rates in Oyo State through sustained awareness campaigns, distribution of insecticide-treated bed nets, and support for malaria research and treatment.
It pointed out that Rotarians Against Malaria-Global is an action group dedicated to eradicating malaria through Rotary’s global network with a mission aligns with the World Health Organization’s goal to eliminate malaria by 2030.
Rotarians therefore invite the public, private sector partners, and community leaders to join forces with them in this fight against malaria in line with” Together, We Can”Mantra in a bid to make a meaningful impact and create a healthier, malaria-free Oyo State.
