KWASU Aeronautics, Astronautics Engineering Training Engineers For Aircraft Repair Not Pilots – Prof Shaykh-Jimoh Clarifies

Vice Chancellor, Kwara State University, Malete, Professor Lukman Shaykh-Jimoh has said Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering of the institution is saddled with the responsibility of training Engineers not Pilots

Professor Shykh-Jimoh corrected this impression while fielding questions from journalists at the Convocation Press Conference of the institution

He said Kwara State University breeds quality Engineers with skills of aircraft repair and maintenance not pilots as being speculated in some quarters

The Vice Chancellor stated that Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics in KWASU would be partnering International Aviation College, Ilorin in training its Engineers

On Renewable Energy, Professor Shaykh-Jimoh noted that the institution has established Solar Farm to generate its power to reduce the electricity bill and huge amount being spent in fueling generating sets
